First United Presbyterian Church
You're Invited to Carve a Pumpkin... or Five!
Come out to the church on Saturday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. to carve pumpkins for the Panhandle Trail Night Walk event. What started as a small service project for the Youth Group to support a community event has become another treasured tradition in Rennerdale. It's fun, it's messy and everyone should try it at least once!
We'll provide the hot chocolate and the pumpkins. You just need to bring your creative carving skills.
Join us for a painting party on Friday, Nov 5th. Doors open at 5:00, dinner will be served at 6:00 and the painting begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $35 and must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited! You are welcome to BYOB.
There will also be basket & 50/50 raffles.
Click the button below to reserve your spot and pay online or you can mail a check to the church (remember to include your name and the number of people in your party).
Please see Mary Beth for any questions.
Local Mission - Support Our Veterans
Our collection for VBS was awarded to Teak Denard this year. Teak had previously planned, organized and collaborated with Light of Life and Wahlburgers to provide meals for frontline workers in 2020. In early 2021, he partnered with Light of Life and Wahlburgers to provide boxed meals to the homeless in Pittsburgh.
Now, with his $500 in seed money from VBS, he is partnering with Wounded Warrior Project, Light of Life, and Wahlburgers to provide meals to Pittsburgh area veterans on Veteran's Day (Nov 11th). Wounded Warrior has already identified 200 veterans in need.
How you can help: donate by check/cash at church with the designation of "For our Veterans" or by clicking the Online Giving tab above (choose General Fund and be sure to indicate in the comment section "For our Veterans"). All donations go directly to this event on Veteran's Day here in Pittsburgh. You can also volunteer on Veteran's Day to help with distribution of the meals. See Lori for more info.
Global Mission - Operation Christmas Child
The packing party will be on Sunday, November 7th immediately following church. If you would like to donate to help offset shipping, please come to our Chili Takeout on Saturday, Oct 30th from noon - 3:00 pm. Quarts of chili will be available for $7.00. Please see Scott for any questions.
Donations for the Vignone Family
The Rennerdale Community is uniting to honor our friend and mailman, Louis Vignone. As a show of remembrance and thanks to Lou, we are asking all of Rennerdale to tie a blue ribbon on their mailbox, “Blue for Lou”.

Cash can be venmo-ed to @Lisa-Mason-40. Paypal donations can be made to firstname.lastname@example.org. Donations via credit card can be made here on the website under the Online Giving tab. Please put FOR LOU in the note/memo for any electronic donation.
100% of all monies received will be donated to the Vignone family. You are welcome to tie any blue ribbon to your mailbox. If you are unable to obtain a ribbon, and you live in Rennerdale and would like one delivered, please contact Lea at email@example.com with your name and address.
